Competitions

Hi-Five Netball Tournament

On Monday 25th June, a squad of netballers fro Years 5 & 6 represented Bedford in the South Sefton Hi-Five Tournament at Savio High School! Our team were victorious, winning every game and not conceding even one goal! An extra well done goes to Paige, who was awarded Player of the Tournament! Well done Team Bedford - we now represent the whole of Sefton in the Merseyside School Games on Thursday 5th July! Good Luck Guys! 

Cricket

On Monday 11th June, Beford's cricket participated in a tournament at Bootle Cricket Club! After winning most of our games, Team Bedford were victorious! Well done to our fantastic cricketers!

Quad Kids Athletics

On Friday 18th May, 10 children from Years 5 & 6 represented Bedford in a Quad Kids Athletics tournament at Litherland Sports Park. The athletes competed in sprints, distance running, long jump and howler throw. Our team did very well (even though it was very warm) and we are all very proud of them!

EYFS LFC Academy Day

On Thursday 17th May, all of our EYFS children went along to the LFC Academy in Kirby where they took part in training sessions with some of the coaches. The children also participated in mini matches. A fun time was had by all, and all of the children were great ambassadors for Team Bedford.

Swimming Gala

On Friday 9th March, 14 children from years 5 & 6 represented Bedford in the annual swimming gala at Crosby Leisure Centre. Children took part in individual races as well as team relay events. Our school achieved Bronze medals in the girls medley relay - well done to Poppy, Jessica and Gabriella - and Poppy also won the Gold medal in the girls individual breaststroke race! All children in our team were great ambassadors for Team Bedford and we are very proud of you!

Y3/4 Sportshall Athletics

On Wednesday 21st February, 22 children from Years 3 & 4 went along to The Hawthornes School to represent Bedford in an indoor athletics tournament. This event was also attended by a group of representatives from Saudi Arabia, who wanted to see how Liverpool schools run their sportshall athletics tournaments. The children competed in a variety of track and field events, including sprint relays, obstacle races, javelin throwing, speed bounce and standing long jump. Bedford were the overall winners of this event - CONGRATULATIONS TEAM BEDFORD!

All of our participants were fantastic ambassadors for our school, and a great time was had by all! Well done Team Bedford!

Sportshall Athletics

On Friday 19th January, 24 children from Years 4, 5 & 6 went along to The Hawthornes School to represent Bedford in an indoor athletics tournament. The children competed in a variety of track and field events, including sprint relays, obstacle races, javelin throwing, speed bounce and standing long jump. Overall Bedford were placed 3rd out of 9 schools, which is a great achievement!

All of our participants were fantastic ambassadors for our school, and a great time was had by all! Well done Team Bedford!

Basketball

Friday 24th November saw our squad of basketballers take part in a tournament at The Hawthornes School. After playing against 8 other local schools, Team Bedford progressed to the semi finals, where we were unfortunately beaten! However, we were the only team to score against the eventual winners! All of our children were fantastic ambassadors for our school, and we are very proud of you! 

Dodgeball

On Friday 10th November, a squad of children from Years 5 & 6 represented Bedford in a dodgeball tournament, which took place at The Hawthornes School. After playing brilliantly against numerous local schools, we reached the semi-finals! Although we were beaten to the final, the children were great ambassadors for our school and we are all very proud of them! Well done guys!

Girls Football

On Friday 13th October, girls from Year 5 & 6 represented Bedford in a football tournament, which was held at Goals on Dunningsbridge Road. Our team played really well against a variety of local schools, and we even scored a few goals! Well done girls!

Fun Run

On Friday 6th October, 24 children from Years 3-6 took part in a fun run at Litherland Sports Park. All of our representatives did very well, but a special mention goes out to Michael from Y4, who came in the top 6 in his race out of approximately 60 children!
