Bedford Primary is an Extended School, this means we are committed to helping our families balance work and family commitments, supporting our children with their learning and offering a broader range of experiences and interests out of hours. We are very proud of our ever increasing range of extended services and are committed to offering our services and facilities to the local community.
A large part of our school’s Extended Services is our timetable of out of hours clubs which run throughout the school year, you will find this current term's timetable below. Some activities we offer are free of charge however in order to re-invest in equipment, special events and a broader range of activities in some cases we levy a small charge to cover costs. In order to plan our timetable and offer club places across the school we are now asking for payments for clubs to be paid up-front. We are always willing to discuss club costs with parents who may find it difficult to meet the costs of out-of-hours clubs at our school so please do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff if you would like to know more.
All of the staff and volunteers supporting our Extended Services are fully checked and CRB cleared, clubs are continually monitored and evaluated to ensure they are the best they can be. If you have any ideas of new clubs you'd like to see us run please contact our Extended Services Manager on 0151 922 1467 ext. 26 or email jkynaston@bedfordprimary.co.uk
Please also look at information included in The Hub tab above, The Hub at Bedford is a fantastic new community building on our school grounds and will host many exciting and essential services for children, their families and the wider community.

Rise and Shine Breakfast Club
Our Rise & Shine Breakfast Club aims to give children a great start to the school day with a healthy breakfast, fun and games. The Club is held each morning in the main hall and is open from 7.30am through to the start of the school day at 8.50. Currently the club caters for between 35-40 pupils. If you require any further details, please contact the school office. The Breakfast Club staff are Mrs S Sergison, Mrs Collins, Mrs C Hansen and Mrs C Moore.
Here’s what the children say about the Rise & Shine Breakfast Club…
“I like coming to breakfast club because you can meet new friends and play loads of games”
“Breakfast Club stops me from messing outside school and most of my mates go…plus I love it!”
“I like Breakfast Club because I eat my breakfast with my friends”.
