Family Learning at Bedford
Bedford is committed to provide an exciting, challenging, warm and friendly place for learning, where parents/carers are seen not just as contributors and helpers in their child’s learning at school, but as partners with teachers. The staff at Bedford believe that working together ensures every child the opportunity to reach their full potential.
- We acknowledge parents as their child’s first and most enduring educator.
- We endeavour to support our families in any way we can to support their child’s education.
Throughout the school year there are a variety of short course available which are designed to give you lots of helpful tips and advice about how specific skills are taught and developed in school. We have a popular family reading club which runs on a weekly basis and a family fun week every term when families are encourage to join in all of our after school activities with their children. For more information about courses and other opportunities please contact Mrs Marshall our Family Learning coordinator.
- If you feel confident in the service we offer and feel that you are valued contributors to your child’s education, this in turn helps to foster the ethos in which pupils feel valued.
- In order to meet the needs of each individual child we need to know them well and this can only be achieved by sharing information between home and school.
- Good communication between home and school ensures that we celebrate all achievements which include both those undertaken during and outside the school day.
