Meet the Team

Close partnerships with our families are very important to us at Bedford. Apart from your child’s class teacher, there are many team members who are always happy to help and sort out any questions or queries you may have. These include:

Assistant Headteachers
Mrs Gordon (class RG), Mrs Barton (class 5B) & Miss Leyland (class 6L)
We have a team of three Assistant Headteachers. Mrs Gordon who keeps a special watch over the children in KS1 and Foundation & Mrs Barton and Miss Leyland,  who oversee the children in KS2.

They are always happy to assist families with any matter.

Mrs Marshall, our Family Liaison Coordinator and Parent Support Advisor (PSA), who is based in class RM.
Mrs Marshall organises family learning opportunities and through her PSA role, works with families to enhance home-school relationships.
She also runs our B.E.S.T. friends group, Bedford’s Enrichment & Support Trust. B.E.S.T. is a community fundraising group and Mrs Marshall is always delighted to welcome new members.

Mrs McMahon, our Learning Mentor
Mrs McMahon is happy to offer support and guidance to children and their families on any matter; she plays a fundamental role in helping all children to achieve their true potential.

Mrs Graham, our Office Manager
Mrs Graham and one of her team are often a parent’s first point of contact. If they can’t
answer your questions; they can always direct you to someone who can.

Mrs Schneider, our School Nurse
Mrs Schneider, who is based at Park Street Health Centre in Bootle, works closely with staff in school to offer support and guidance on any health related matter.
She can be contacted via the school office.

Mrs Prendergast, our Emotional Well Being Counsellor
Mrs Prendergast works on a part time basis and is able to offer counselling support and
advice to children and families. She can be contacted via the school office.

Mrs Kynaston, our Extended Services/Community Liaison Manager
Mrs Kynaston manages the school’s extended services provision. If you have any questions about anything from Breakfast club to after school care providers she will be more than happy to help and can be contacted via the school office.
