Out of School Sporting achievements

Two of our pupils were awarded special shields in their annual dance award ceremony. Rhianna, from Year 3, was awarded the 'Personality' award for being such a happy, friendly and dramatic young lady. While, Sophie, from Year 6, was award the 'Smile' award for having such a positive outlook on life and for being a good dancer. Both girls, who attend North Liverpool Dance Academy, are very talented dancers and we should look out for them in the future. Well done girls!

Luke from Y3, who attends Hurricane Kickboxing, was awarded Student of the Week for the week beginning 29.6.15. Luke's trainer presented him with this award for his hard work and dedication to the sport. Well done Luke!

 

During the weekend of 11th & 12th July, Luke also participated in a kickboxing tournament, where he won his first match - Congratulations Luke!

Nicole, one of our Year 3 pupils, has been extremely successful in achieving two awards for dance. We are very pleased to say that she was awarded a 'Distinction' for both Tap and Dance.  Nicole attends the Loretta Legge Theatre School and she is very proud of her achievements and so are we!  Well done, you deserve it!
Elliemay and Emma, who are both in Y3, have recently had a presentation evening with their football team 'Merseyrail Bootle FC'. Both girls were awarded 'Player of the season', along with various smaller awards! We are very proud of you Elliemay and Emma - keep up the hard work and we'll surely see you in the Womens' World Cup in the future!

One of our Year 3 pupils, David, has been extremely busy and won many awards for his team Standfield JFC.  David is feeling very proud as he has been awarded trophies and medals for being the 'Managers' player of the season' and 'Goalkeeper of the season'.  He has also been awarded more on top of that!  Well done David, a fantastic achievement!

Two of our pupils, Jack and Scott, have won trophies for playing as part of a team in the JOB Football team.  We are very proud of you boys - keep up the good work!

Dean, who is one of our Year 5 pupils, has recently been awarded his green and black stripe belt for kickboxing. He was also lucky enough to receive the 'Student of the week' award for technique and hard work. Well done Dean, we are very proud of you!

One of our Year 3 pupils, Kieran, recently took part in the Scottish Kuk Sool Won martial arts tournament, in which he did exceptionally well! Kieran won 4 medals - 2 GOLD, 1 SILVER and 1 BRONZE!!! Well done Kieran, we are very proud of you!
One of our Year 3 pupils, Poppy, has recently taken part in swimming championships, in which she won quite a few of her races! Poppy, who attends Liverpool Penguins Swimming Club at Liverpool University, was awarded Gold medals for breaststroke and front crawl, and Silver medals for backstroke and butterfly. Poppy also won 'Swimmer of the Week'! Do we have a future olympic swimmer in our school? Congratulations Poppy!

On Tuesday 28th April,, Luis from Year 3 officially signed for Everton's Academy!

Mrs King and his family went along to the open day to watch Luis train with the First Team, before meeting with Roberto Martinez to sign the contract.

We are very proud of Luis, and wish him luck in his footballing career!

One of our year 3 pupils, Luis, had the privilege of walking out with the Everton first team, before their Europa League clash with Lille on Thursday 6th of November.  Luis, who currently plays for Everton's under 8's team, was also lucky enough to meet some of the players, including Ross Barkley.

Rhianna is in Grade 1 ballet at North Liverpool Dance Academy, which her sister Sophie also attends.

Sophie has taken part in many dance shows, and both her and her sister Rhianna are performing in the pantomime ‘Cinderella’ at the Knowsley Centre in December this year.

One of our year 3 pupils, Kieran, took part in a karate tournament with the Kuk Sool Won team!  After competing in numerous fights, he was fortunate enough to be placed second!
