Merseyside School Games

Excitingly, after our success at the netball tournament, our netballers have been asked to represent the whole of Sefton in High 5s Netball at the Merseyside School Games! This event will take place on Thursday 29th June at Formby High School. We are very honoured to be asked to participate in this event, and we wish our Team lots of luck! Go Team Bedford (and Team Sefton)!

Tri-Golf Tournament

ON Thursday 22nd June a squad of 6 Y3/4 pupils and 6 Y5/6 pupils will be representing Bedford in a Tri-Golf tournament, which will take place at Aintree Golf Centre. Good Luck Team Bedford! 

Boccia & New Age Kurling

We are lucky enough to be participating in a sports event on Tuesday 20th June, which will incorporate the new sports of Boccia (which is similar to bowls) and New Age Kurling. A team of children from Year 5, who have not previously represented Bedford in sports events, will be flying the flag for our school! Good Luck Guys!

Netball

On Wednesday 14th June, we will be participating in a netball tournament at Savio High School. Go Team Bedford!

Girls Euros Football Tournament

On Thursday 8th June, we will be entering both a Y3/4 team and a Y5/6 team in a football tournament which will be celebrating the Women's European Football Championships taking place in Holland this summer.

Quad Kids

On Friday 19th May, Bedford will be entering a team of Y5 and 6 athletes in a tournament involving sprinting, distance running, throwing and long jump. This event will take place at Litherland Sports Park.

LFC Football Tournament

On Wednesday 17th May, Mr Stafford will be taking a team of Y5 pupils to take part in a football tournament held at the LFC Academy.

Swimming Gala

On Friday 17th March Bedford will be hoping for some Irish luck, as we take part in the annual swimming gala at Crosby Leisure Centre. Even though it is an INSET day for our school, a selection of pupils from Y5 and 6 will be invited to represent our school.

Dodgeball

On Friday 27th January, a team of Y5 and 6 pupils will be representing Bedford in another dodgeball tournament at The Hawthornes School. Good luck Guys!

KS2 Sportshall Athletics

On Friday 13th January, Team Bedford will be hoping that our luck will be good and not bad, as representatives from Years 3-6 take part in a Sportshall Athletics tournament at The Hawthornes School. Go Team Bedford!!!

Basketball

On Friday 25th November, representatives from Y5 & 6 will be coming together as a team to take part in a basketball tournament at The Hawthornes School. Make us proud Team Bedford!

Dodgeball

On Friday 18th November, a team of Y5 & 6 pupils will be representing our school in a Dodgeball tournament at The Hawthornes School. We wish you lots of luck guys!

Speed Stacking World Record Attempt 

On Thursday 17th November, pupils from years 3-6 will be taking part in a world record attempt for speed stacking! More details can be found on the 2016 Stack Up website: https://www.thewssa.com/stackup/2016/

Bronze Ambassador Training & Change 4 Life Festival

On Wednesday 16th November, 2 super sports ambassadors from Y5 will be taking part in training, which will enable them to train our Sports Leaders to lead physical activities with younger children more effectively.

Also on this day, as part of their training, our Bronze Ambassadors will be helping to run a Change 4 Life Festival at The Hawthornes School. Taking part in this will be our fantastic 3B - Good Luck 3B!

Static Cycling

On Tuesday 15th November, out Year 6 pupils will all be participating in a static cycling event at Hillside High School. Good luck guys!

KS1 Sportshall Athletics

On Tuesday 8th November, a selection of children from Y1 and 2 will be representing our school in an indoor athletics tournament at The Hawthornes School. We wish them lots of luck!

Y2 Multi Sports

On Friday 21st October, all of our Year 2 pupils will be taking part in a multi sports event at Hillside High School. We hope that you enjoy it guys!
