Swimming Gala

On Friday 11th March, a group of super swimmers from Years 4, 5 &6 represented Bedford in a swimming gala at Crosby Leisure Centre. All of our swimmers performed brilliantly, with 4 of them reaching finals! The finals are to be held at a later date - we'll keep you updated! Congratulations Guys!

Speed Stacking

On Tuesday 1st March, 8 children from KS2 represented Bedford in a speed stacking tournament at The Hawthornes School. Congratulations to our team, who were awarded 4th place overall!

KS1 Multi-Sports


On Monday the 15th of February, 2S went over to Hillside High School to take part in a multi-skills event. During the afternoon, the children took part in a variety of physical activities, including speed ladder, step ups and speed bounce


All of the children were put through their paces and the sports leaders commented on how competent the children were at the activities. Well done 2S!

KS2 Sportshall Athletics

On Monday 8th February, 24 children from Years 4, 5 and 6 represented Bedford in an indoor athletics tournament at The Hawthornes high school. Athletes participated in a variety of track and field events, including sprints, obstacle races, javelin throwing, speed bounce and standing triple jump. Team Bedford performed brilliantly, and were excellent ambassadors for our school. We came 4th overall, out of 9 schools - well done Team Bedford!

Highland Games

On Monday 1st February, pupils from Y3 and 4 represented Bedford in a Highland Games event at The Hawthornes school. Competitors took part in a variety of sporting activities, including new age curling, 'caber' tossing, sprinting, skipping and speed stacking. We are extremely proud of our team, who were placed 3rd overall, despite being 3 members down! Well done Team Bedford!

Table Tennis Tournament

On Thursday 28th January, 6 of our pupils represented Bedford in a table tennis tournament, which was held at The Hawthornes School. Following a series of competitive individual matches, our team was placed 3rd overall. Well done Team Bedford!

Girls Basketball Tournament

On Monday 11th January 2016, 8 of our Y5/6 pupils took part in a basketball tournament at The Hawthornes school. After participating in five matches (one of which we won 14-2), our girls managed to claim the 3rd place title! Well done girls!

Change 4 Life Event

On Friday 27th November, 3W went along to The Hawthornes School to participate in a Change 4 Life event with lots of other schools. The pupils took part in a variety of activities, including speed bounce and ball balancing. Although the event was not exactly competitive, 3W made us proud with their Brilliant Bedford Behaviour and terrific teamwork skills! Well done Year 3!

Y6 Static Cycling Event

On Tuesday 10th November, the whole of our Y6 team took part in a static cycling tournament at Hillside High School. After participating in a variety of heats, Bedford emerged victorious, as overall winners! Congratulations to Agsith and Evelyn, who had the fastest times in both the boys' and the girls' categories!

On Monday 9th November, children from Years 1 and 2 represented Bedford in an indoor athletics tournament at The Hawthornes' School. During the afternoon, athletes took part in a variety of sporting activities, including sprinting, javelin and speed bounce. Congratulations to our boys, who were the overall winners out of 7 schools, and well done to our girls, who did Team Bedford proud!

Tag Rugby


On Monday 19th October,  Bedford entered a tag rugby tournament, which took place at Waterloo Rugby Club. Our team played very well and enjoyed their experience. Well done Team Bedford!

Hillside Open Evening


On Wednesday 30th September a selection of Year 5 and 6 pupils attended the Open Evening at Hillside High School, where they played against Christ Church in a variety of sporting activities. Well done Team Bedford!
