Adult Learning

"I am still learning."

Michelangelo

At Bedford we recognise the importance of encouraging lifelong learning. Where possible we are keen to offer opportunities to our families for their own learning both here at Bedford and also through signposting adults to other opportunities throughout our community.

Below is information relating to workshops and informal courses which have been held at school as well as links to other local providers. More useful community links can be found here.

Tea4Free at Bedford Primary

Tea4Free is a free adult cookery course delivered by tutors from The May Logan Centre. Tea4Free supports families to learn some tasty new recipes for family meals whilst preparing the meal here in school to take home for the family to enjoy for free! Parents are also given excellent information and advice about healthy eating for all the family. Having run the course twice in 2014 we are looking to run the course again early in 2015, letters will be sent home in due course and information will be posted here.

Hugh Baird College

We enjoy positive links with Hugh Baird College which offers a huge variety of opportunities for learning.

Cambridge Children's Centre

The Children's Centre regularly runs courses and workshops for parents with pre-school children.

If you have ideas of things you would be interested in attending here at school please contact us via the school office and we will respond.
