Five years ago Sefton Parent Carer Forum were involved in a Moving Forward event in conjunction with local services. This February we would like to look at the outcomes of that event and how things have changed. The focus will be on the lived experience and our hopes and aspirations for our children and young people with SEND. This is an opportunity for parent carers to talk to representatives from education, social care and health. The four areas we want to look at are –
The lived experience in the past five years, good and bad
Where would you like to be in five years time?
How do we get there?
How will we know?
Will hope to host an evening session in the Southport end of the borough, details to follow.
Refreshments provided.
Limited numbers so booking is essential. Email info@seftonpcf.org

Bedford Primary was proud to be involved in an initiative as part of Sefton Council’s Borough of Culture 2020 developed by the Windmills Foundation.
The Words of Wisdom project is an inter-generational initiative to help reduce loneliness and isolation and increase well-being for elderly generations in Sefton and our local communities.
Three Bedford pupils attended the ‘Never too late’ meeting in St Matthews Church in Bootle in February, a weekly meeting organised by Sefton Opera. The children interviewed the guest to share their words of wisdom, some of which features in the final cut. To watch the final film go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0uIoPUnIEE&feature=youtu.be
The generosity and kindness of our Bedford Primary families never fails to amaze us - and their contributions to the BBC's Children in Need appeal on Friday was no exception. Despite the challenges facing the world and our community at this time, we are delighted to share the news that we raised an amazing £335.38 for the charity. Please know that we are so thankful and grateful to each and every one of our families for their contributions and generosity.
Bedford boys and girls also embraced the spirit of the day and brightened school with their yellow and colourful spots in homage to Pudsey!
We are delighted to share the news that from September 2020 until December 2020 our delicious and nutritious hot meals at the Bedford Bistrol will be reduced from £2.25 to £1.50. This will provide families with a saving of £3.75 per week on their school dinner payments.
At the Bedford Bistro children can enjoy a variety of meals that are prepared and cooked on site. View the menus here https://www.bedfordprimary.co.uk/bedford-bistro-menu/
If you would like your child/children to sign up for a hot meal in the Bedford Bistro from September please contact the School Office on 0151 922 1467 or email finance.bedford@schools.sefton.gov.uk.

Home learning activities will be posted from Monday April 20th, when school was scheduled to reopen.
Team Bedford wishes all our families a safe and peaceful Easter.
