  This week saw children from across the school taking part in our Christmas Talent Show.  We were very pleased to see so many members of our team showcasing their fantastic talents.

• Bedford wins Sefton Maths Contest!

  We are delighted to report that Mr O' Neill's Year 6 maths team are the overall winners of the SumDog Maths Challenge for Sefton. 

  The Sumdog Sefton Maths Contest which uses fun games and contests to motivate children to practise their maths was entered by 59 classes from schools across Sefton. In total, 485 students answered 156,144 questions correctly with Mr O’Neill’s Year 6 class achieving the top overall score.

  Jack, age 11, who was part of the Bedford winning team and was also the third highest scoring pupil says of the competition, “It was very hard but I enjoyed it, I was pleased with myself because I started quite far down the leader board but that challenged me to answer as many questions as possible!”

  Bedford teacher Mr O’Neill says of his pupils, “I am really pleased and proud of our children as they proved themselves very able mathematicians, especially against some of the best in Sefton."

• Bedford raises £68.42 for Poppy Appeal

  Thank you everyone who supported the Poppy Appeal including those who bought the lovely donated knitted poppies, we raised £68.42 for The Royal British Legion in support of their vital welfare and benevolent work.
