  • Eating what we sow

    Mon 25 Sep 2017
There was great excitement in school when we returned from the summer break and found so many beautiful vegetables in our garden. The vegetables were planted by the Garden Gang in the Spring and we have been harvesting the results of our hard work.
We decided to put our Project Plant to Plate into action immediately and worked out what ingredients we had in the garden and what we could make. The children were doubly delighted when it was decided that we had everything we need to make a
tomato and onion sauce with herbs for a perfect pizza!
We also found a HUGE marrow and were unsure what to do with it—until a Google search revealed that we can make marrow jam and marrow cake. Watch this space for the results!
  • Eating cake for MacMillan Cancer Support

    Mon 18 Sep 2017

Bedford boys and girls will be joining thousands of people around the country to take part in the world's biggest coffee morning in aid of McMillan Cancer Support.

The coffee morning will take place during school hours and children are asked to bring in a donation of cake, cookies or biscuits. Each child can bring a maximum of £1 to buy a cake treat during the coffee morning to help us raise as much as we can for this deserving charity.
