  • Bedford's Reading Olympians go for gold

    Fri 21 Oct 2016

Bedford is proud to reveal that is has its very own Reading Olympians who have recently been awarded their gold medals. In order to qualify for a gold medal, students had to read 4 library books or 2 novels within the term. We are so proud that 59 children in total managed to reach for gold - an amazing achievement by them all.

Children are encouraged to continue their reading as at the end of every term the number of children who have reached gold will be counted and the class with the highest number will be crowned overall champion.

Don't forget that children are encouraged to stay until 3.30pm on a Tuesday to read in homework club.

  • Green token at Asda for B.E.S.T

    Mon 10 Oct 2016

Bedford Primary's B.E.S.T Charity has been selected by Asda as one of its chosen charities in the local store in Bootle for collection of green tokens. The green tokens are collected and the winner is chosen dependent on the number of tokens given by customers to the charity, which receives a cheque for £200 if it has the most tokens. We would be really grateful if families and friends of Bedford could place their green tokens, which can be collected free at the check-outs, and place them in the appropriate container for B.E.S.T. Every green token counts!

    Thank you for your support.
