  • Another VIP comes to Bedford!

    Fri 09 Mar 2018

Today we had a visit from our local MP, Peter Dowd, and Kelloggs to show them our Breakfast Club and a tour of our wonderful school.

We took great pride in telling Peter about the many activities and projects going on at Bedford and introducing him to our boys and girls.

Thank you to Peter and to Kelloggs - we hope you will come again soon!

  • Attendance and punctuality: only one late mark making the difference!

    Fri 09 Mar 2018

Well done to Class 1J who are winners for Attendance this week, followed by 4J in second place and 1W in third place.

Big congratulations to 2J, 5F and 6D who achieved 100 percent punctuality - well done to you all.

The winners so far for this term for punctuality are 1W, second place 2F and third place 1J. There is only ONE late mark making the difference so extra efforts from everyone will count towards the winning class!

Attendance and punctuality are so important for our children and we appreciate all the efforts made by our families to ensure their children are in school and on time to start learning.

  • World Book day Celebrations

    Thu 01 Mar 2018

On Thursday 1st March, Bedford will be celebrating World Book Day 2018. Our theme will be ‘Bedtime Stories’ and the children are invited to attend school in their favourite pyjamas/dressing gown or in the costume of a character from their favourite book. Throughout the afternoon, Class Teachers will be reading their chosen bedtime stories to their children and they will also be dressed in either their comfortable pyjamas or their favourite character too. Each child will get to enjoy some hot chocolate and marshmallows with their stories. This year, we also have a very special treat! We have the amazing children’s author, Frank Cottrell-Boyce joining us for the day. J

Please ensure that your child attends school in pyjamas or a costume that are suitable to be worn outside for playtime etc... (Or they can bring tracksuits in to put on over at playtime) School shoes are to be worn to and from school and slippers/other footwear can be changed into within the school building. Your child is encouraged to bring along their favourite bedtime story and/or teddy to share with their class.

We will be taking pictures throughout the day, which will be posted on our Twitter page so please look out for these
