  • Bedford Bear comes to tea

    Tue 19 Jul 2016

Bedford Bear paid a visit to school yesterday for a very important date with some special guests at a lovely tea party. The VIP's were given the treat in return for their hard work during the year accumulating over 250 reads. Tasty treats were enjoyed by the children, including cakes, juice and lolly ices. Bedford Bear is going on his summer holidays today, but is looking forward to returning to school in September and hopes our children and their families keep reading during the holidays - because remember, reading reaps rewards!

  • School partnership raises over £7000 for the Oliver King Foundation

    Tue 12 Jul 2016

Two of Bedford’s School Councillors, Evie M and

Luke F, represented our school at the recent STRAND School Council event at Formby Hall.

The event was held to recognise the fundraising work undertaken by the 14 schools involved in the partnership, which raised a magnificent £7665.10 for the Oliver King Foundation.

Bedford Primary held its ‘Wear Something Blue’ day for the foundation where children wore their own clothes and donated to the Foundation.

Evie and Luke were brilliant Bedford Ambassadors and met Oliver King’s Dad who presented them with a STRAND Partnership medal and a certificate for the school.

The total raised by the STRAND Partnership schools will buy 7 community facing defibrillators within the community and enable 72 staff to be trained on

    the machines.
