• Year 2 Parents/Guardians Meeting for new curriculum

  We would like to invite parents and guardians of all Year 2 pupils to come into school for a meeting to discuss the new curriculum on Thursday 3rd March in the hall. The session will cover the expectations of the new curriculum: reading, writing, SPaG (spelling, punctuation and grammar) and maths.

  There will be two sessions one at 9am and one at 2pm and refreshments will be served at both.

  We would urge all parents and guardians to attend if they can. 

   

   

• Easter Bingo: SAVE THE DATE!

  Birds chirping, trees blossoming, daffodils dancing and Bedford's Easter Bingo - Spring is here! Save the date for Wednesday 23rd March when the bingo fun begins at 3.15pm, eyes down for 3.30pm. Our Mufti Day for Easter bingo prizes will be Thursday 17th March - contributions of chocolate and eggs will be greatly appreciated and all funds raised from the bingo will go towards Project Panto 2016.

• Perfect pancakes for Shrove Tuesday

  Bedford's children (and staff!) were treated to some homemade pancakes today to celebrate Shrove Tuesday. A selection of toppings were available including golden syrup and lemon. Everyone agreed they were absolutely delicious!

  If you fancy making your own pancakes tonight here's what you'll need:

  200 g/7 oz plain flour

  350-400ml/12-14 fl oz of milk

  2 large eggs to be lightly whisked

  1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  A pinch of salt

  Mix together your ingredients, place in a frying pan and get flipping! Good luck!

   

  

• Gong xi fa cai! 新年快樂 Happy Chinese New Year

  The Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is determined by the lunar Chinese calendar, which is why the date changes every year.

  Every Chinese New Year is characterised by one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac and 2016 is the year of the Red Monkey, the ninth animal in the cycle.

  The monkey is intelligent, smart, wise, curious, impulsive, cheeky and strong minded!

   

   

   

• Book Fair comes to Bedford!

  From Monday 8th February until Friday 12th February, the Book Fair will be in the school hall. Please make sure you come and visit it straight after school from 3.10pm onwards.

• FAME the Musical auditions

  LHK Theatre is looking for a cast of 30 dancers to take part in its forthcoming musical FAME. The Producer is looking for children between aged 8 and 19 who are strong dancers, can act and sing and are all round good performers. Auditions will take place from 11.30am on Sunday February 7th at the Epstein Theatre, Hanover House, 85 Hanover Street, Liverpool L1 3DZ.
