On Thursday 16th January 2020 we are having an extra special lunch at school: a Bedford Happy Meal!

The lunch will be served in a special box and contain a beautiful beef burger in a bun accompanied by our Head Chef, Mr Griffiths', special skinny fries. For dessert, children can look forward to a delicious double chocolate muffin.

  • Tesco Bags of Help Grant Scheme - we need your help!

    Wed 08 Jan 2020

We are delighted to announce that Bedford Primary has been chosen as one of the nominated recipients of Tesco's Bags of Help Grants for our proposed 'Bark and Read' project in school.

The Bags of Help grant is funded by the money raised by sales of plastic bags in Tesco and benefits community initiatives throughout the country. Bedford Primary is one of three groups featured in this round of funding with Grants of £2000, £1000 and £500 available.

In order to receive the most money we need all our friends and family to place their blue tokens in the Bedford Primary section of the receptacle placed in the following stores until March 31st 2020: Old Swan; Deysbrook Barracks; Longmoore Lane; Litherland; Crosby Road; Queen's Drive; Walton; Crosby Coronation Road; Liverpool Princess Express; Liverpool Mill Lane Express; Fazakerley Longmoor Express; Thornton Express; Liverpool Old Roan; Liverpool Metro.

Please be sure to ask for tokens at the checkout when you are in Tesco and place them in our section of the container. Every token counts - and every little helps!

  • Bedford: Officially a School of Sanctuary

    Wed 25 Sep 2019

It is with great pride that we can announce that we have received confirmation that we are now officially a School of Sanctuary.

There are three principles to becoming a School of Sanctuary: learn what it means to be seeking sanctuary; take positive action to embed concepts of welcome, safety and inclusion within school and the wider community; and share school's vision and achievements - and be proud!

Mrs Lopez led the initiative at Bedford Primary: 'we are so proud that after all of our hard work towards this recognition that we can finally share this great news with our families,' said Mrs Lopez. 'It means a great deal to us as a school - and particularly our pupils and families - to believe in, and follow, the principles behind the award.'

Mrs Lopez and ten Bedford Welcome Buddies will attend a ceremony at Bootle Town Hall to receive the award.

    Well done Team Bedford!
