  • Generous donations for Children in Need

    Our children (and staff!) excelled themselves today wearing their PJs to school in return for a donation to Children in Need. Our children looked amazing - and we even had a few Pudsey outfits!

    Thank you to our generous families and friends who have helped us raise over £400 for this great cause. Your support is very much appreciated.

  • All aboard the Book Bus at Bedford

    The Book Bus will be coming to Bedford on Wednesday 5th December 2018. The Bus will be full to the brim of brilliant books offering something for everyone at great prices.

    And don't forget that the more books sold on the Bus, the more books Bedford receives for school - everyone's a winner!

    After weeks of anticipation the big day for our Year 6 children has arrived and they are on their way to their residential at Lakeside Adventure Centre.

    All the children are excited to go on the trip - and we're sure that many adventures and exciting activities await them. We can't wait to hear all about it.

  • The Bedford Bistro wishes Bootle Happy Birthday

    Our Bedford Bistro team has done it again with an array of amazing food to celebrate Bootle's 150th Birthday. Today the children enjoyed a lunch of traditional Scouse served with a side of beetroot, followed by a Bootle Tart (have you tried one - they're delish). The children gave the meal a unanimous 'thumbs up'! Happy Birthday Bootle.
  • We're celebrating Bootle's Big Birthday!

    Bootle Town is celebrating its 150th birthday in October - and we're not letting this momentous occasion pass by without a party! On Wednesday 17th October we will be having a party in school to celebrate - with a special lunch and delicious birthday cake.   • Sefton Parent Carer Forum - Feedback Event, Wednesday 9th May 2018

    Sefton Parent Carer Forum is holding a Feedback Event on Wednsday 9th May 2018 from 10am until 2.30pm at The Salvation Army Building, Shakespeare Street, Southport, PR8 5AJ.

    Karen Askham from Contact will be taking views on various issues arising from the Ofsted Action Plan for Sefton, hear about the Children's Plan review from the Director of Children's Services, and the Inclusion/Complex Needs team will be doing a session on transition and other issues.

  • St George's Day delights in our Bedford Bistro

    Our catering team in the Bedford Bistro have excelled themselves today with their homage to St George. The Bistro is a riot of red and white, with everything from red and white roses to red and white juices! The children (and staff!) have been treated to an array of delicious English food, including traditional butcher's sausages in a Yorkshire pudding boat, served with creamy mash potatoes and onion gravy. For dessert, children could choose from iced pink fancies, homemade shortbread or strawberry cream scones. It was delicious! Thank you to Mrs McDowell and her dream team for making such an effort to mark St George's Day.
  • Hillside High Science Community Event

    Hillside High School's Exploration & Discovery Learning Event for children and their families in Y4-Y6 takes place this Thursday 15th March from 5.45pm.

    The main objective of the event is to celebrate British Science Week through activities that excite and bring together pupils, staff, parents and the local community. During the evening parents and pupils will have the opportunity to participate in a range of challenges based around the theme of Hillside Hospital, exploring and discovering how the human body works.
