Mr Stafford is shortlisted for the Echo's Pride of Merseyside Awards

Bedford’s own Mr Stafford is shortlisted for Echo's Pride of Merseyside Awards

Bedford Primary’s very own ‘superman’ Mr Stafford has been shortlisted for the Echo's Pride of Merseyside Awards to take place on 22 November. Voted by a member of Christ Church Youth & Community Centre, Mr Stafford is one of three nominations under consideration for the Courageous Act Award. The nomination was submitted in recognition of the support he gave to his mum as she went into premature labour and delivered her baby at home. Staff and community agree that Mr Stafford could very easily be considered under several categories within the Pride of Merseyside Awards given his ongoing hard work and commitment to children and young people in Bootle. A judge at the Echo's Pride of Merseyside Awards has commented that “Once again, the quality of nominations was a true testament to the hard work and dedication of these passionate people, groups and organisations. It was a hard job to choose the shortlist because everyone is a winner – they have all made such a difference in their own community and they all deserve an award. Well done to everyone who nominated and let’s get ready for a fantastic event next month – it will be great to celebrate so many outstanding people from Merseyside.”

Bedford Primary will be wishing Mr Stafford the very best of luck, he’s already a winner in our eyes!
