Year 3 had a fabulous and fun day recently visiting The Black Pearl, an almost full-size predominantly driftwood pirate ship on the beach at New Brighton.

The text this term for Year 3 is 'The Green Ship' so the visit was based on collecting vocabulary to use in their writing.

During the visit Pupils also did observational drawings of the ship - and there was even time to build sandcastles, look in rock pools and race on the beach!
